Art in the School parent and grandparent volunteers had the pleasure of meeting master Navajo weaver Nanabah Aragon in October. Nanabah shared her life story with us, telling about being sent off to the government school at a young age. She recounted how her mother had taught her how to weave and how she continues the tradition to this day. A fascinating life story from one who has been declared a “Living Treasure” by the State of Arizona.
